Brentwood

Brentwood is a trendy Central Austin neighborhood with a laid-back vibe and a mix of bungalows and ranch-style homes. The area is bound by Burnet Road to the west, Justin Lane to the north, North Lamar Boulevard to the east, and West 45th Street to the south. Originally a cotton farm, the neighborhood was developed in the 1950s and many of the homes were bought by veterans who desired to start families after World War II. Residents can stroll along tree-lined streets to nearby cafes, boutiques, and restaurants. The nine-acre Brentwood Park features a neighborhood pool; basketball, tennis and beach-volleyball courts; soccer and baseball fields; a playground; and a covered pavilion.
